Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting that actor Josh Brolin will be playing Jonah Hex in the film adapted from the comic book of the same name.
Created by John Albano and Tony De Zuniga, Jonah Hex is a cowboy whose adventures began in the 1970s.
The film will be directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, the pair behind Crank and Pathology.
Jonah Hex is expected to reach theatres in 2010.
In the meantime, Josh Brolin will play President George W. Bush in the biographical film W., opening in theatres on October 17. He will also star in the film Milk, opening on December 5.
