Forest Whitaker will reportedly be directing and starring in the biographical film about Louis Armstrong.
The Ron Bass screenplay follows Amstrong’s life as he grew up in poverty in New Orleans, and became one of the best-known trumpet players and singers in the world.
Filming of the biopic is set to begin next summer in Louisiana.
We can next see Forest Whitaker in the film Hurricane Season, opening in theatres on December 25.
