With the success of the first film, earning more than $194 million at North American box offices, DreamWorks Animation is hoping for more of the same with Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.
In the new film, our friends from the New York zoo want to leave Madagascar and return to America. They devise a plan and build a plane with wreckage found in the jungle. When they crash in the plains of Africa, they realise that they aren’t prepared for life in the wild.
Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Richter, Bernie Mac, Sherri Shepherd, Alec Baldwin and Will.i.am all provide voices for the film.
