The Cure Calls a Boycott

The Cure is urging their fans to boycott iTunes.

FemaleFirst reports that the band The Cure is asking their fans to boycott the purchase of files from the music downloading site iTunes.

Singer Robert Smith is telling listeners not to buy their songs from the EP Hypnagogic States on the site.

He doesn’t agree with the price that is charged and finds it completely absurd that the EP is being sold at $14.79.

The EP Hypnagogic States has five remixes of four singles from the group’s next album, 4:13 Dream, on which there are collaborations with Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy.

The Cure sent a letter to administrators at iTunes expressing their adamant disapproval.
