According to People, an autopsy will be performed on the body of Andre Young Jr. to pinpoint the reasons for his death that occurred last Saturday (August 23).
"We don’t know yet why he died. There were no signs of trauma or foul play. We’ll be doing toxicology and other tests, which will take up to six weeks," explained Captain Ed Winter of the L.A. Police Department.
The mother, Jenita Porter, found her son dead at home. The night before, the young man was out with his friends.
After the death was announced, Dr. Dre’s spokesperson made a public statement, saying,
"Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time."
