Details on the Dreamworks Version of Tintin

Dreamworks Studios has revealed some details on the upcoming Tintin films.

It had already been announced that the trilogy, starring the iconic cartoon reporter from Belgium, Tintin, was in the making at Dreamworks Studios, however, more details have been unveiled.

Steven Spielberg will direct the first instalment, adapted from the 1942 book, "The Secret of the Unicorn" and 1944’s "Red Rackham’s Treasure."

Peter Jackson will direct the second Tintin film, although at the moment, the specifics about which books he will adapt the story from are unknown.

Actor Thomas Sangster (The Last Legion) will play Tintin and Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings) will take on the role of his loyal friend, Captain Haddock.

Filming for Tintin will be created from the same technology used in the motion picture Polar Express.
