CBS Films is set to acquire the comedy Born to Rock, written by Jess Walter and Mark Steilen. Duchovny, Leoni and Dan Cortese will oversee the production.
The comedy is about a group of old musicians who, because of an error on their demo tape, will attract the attention of a children’s songs producer. They will become a sensation among children.
It is unknown whether Duchovny and Leoni will have roles in the film.
After finishing The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Duchovny has been working on a yet-untitled television project.
Leoni will star in the romantic comedy Ghost Town, opening in theatres on September 19.
