A Fifth Indiana Jones?

A fifth Indiana Jones film could possibly be in filmmaker George Lucas’ future plans.

During an interview with the Sunday Times, George Lucas said that the fifth installment of the adventures of Indiana Jones is a possibility, if it happens to interest Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford.

The latest film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, came out 20 years after Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and was such an astounding success ($743.7 million at box offices worldwide) that Lucas says that Steven Spielberg might be more willing to work on the fifth Indy.

Lucas had already convinced the director to make the fourth film.

George Lucas is currently working on writing a television series based on Star Wars. He also worked on the screenplay for the animated film, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which hits theatres on August 15.
