Star Wars in 3D

Director George Lucas wants to transform the Star Wars films into 3D versions.

Comingsoon.net reports that George Lucas is planning to transform all six Star Wars films into 3D version.  The news was revealed by DreamWorks Animation president, Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Lucas is very excited about the project and has all the resources he needs to pull it off.  However, according to Katzenberg, the product must be superior in quality.

The news will thrill fans of the franchise. 

Star Wars was first released in 1977.  Six films were made, including the last installment, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, from 2005.

Lucas is also working on a Star Wars television series that should be out next year.  In the meantime, the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be released on August 15.
