Actor Sacha Baron Cohen will take the title of producer for the film Accidentes, for which the company Fox Atomic has acquired the rights, reports Variety.
The comedy will be written by Peter Baynham, with whom Cohen shared an Oscar nomination for the film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Accidentes is about a Latino attorney who becomes the enemy of L.A.’s power elite, after helping an immigrant worker win against a rich employer. It is still unknown whether Baron Cohen will appear in the film.
At the moment, the British actor is filming Brüno in Texas and Missouri, which revolves around an Austrian designer who is about to present his new collection to America. Brüno, another biting comedy, is expected to be released in May 2009.
