Nelson Mandela marked his 90th birthday with a special bracelet, reports FemaleFirst. The legendary president of South Africa collaborated with the company Montblanc to create this bracelet that is engraved with his former prison number, 46664.
The bracelet was made with materials derived from South Africa. In addition, artists who were affected by HIV/AIDS put the finishing touches on the keepsake.
Lutz Bethge of Montblanc declared, "Montblanc is honoured to be part of such a significant and life-changing initiative. The plight against HIV and Aids is an incredibly worthy cause and Montblanc are exceptionally proud to be able to support and contribute to the success of this project."
The 46664 bracelet will be sold in select Montblanc boutiques, and the profits will go directly to the Mandela Foundation, dedicated to African people affected by the virus that causes AIDS.
