Fergie is the latest name to be associated with the film Nine. The singer is currently in negotiations for her role, reports Variety.
Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, would join other stars such as Daniel Day-Lewis, Nicole Kidman, Penélope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Kate Hudson, Sophia Loren and Judi Dench in the film.
If the contract gets signed, the film would mark the first major role for the Black Eyed Peas singer, who had a small role in the film Grindhouse last year.
In Nine, Fergie would play Saraghina, a strong woman who discovers her sexuality with Guido (Daniel Day-Lewis).
Filming begins in October in the United Kingdom.
