Liza Anderson, a spokesperson for the actress, told People that Longoria Parker is only reflecting a change in her Desperate Housewives character, Gabrielle.
According to Anderson, Gabrielle is transforming next season from a sex-symbol to a housewife with two children. Longoria Parker wants to look the part.
Even with the extra pounds, producers are having the star use padding to help Gabrielle look bigger.
