John Cusack Wants Compensation

John Cusack is suing a production company for $5.6 million.

According to E!Online, actor John Cusack has filed a lawsuit against Intermedia Film Equities USA for $5.6 million.

According to the suit filed on Wednesday (July 9) at the Los Angeles Superior Court, the actor is suing because he was not paid for the production that was never completed, Stopping Power.

The actor’s contract stipulated that he should receive $4.5 million, even if the film was not made. Intermedia wanted to renegotiate the sum of the royalties, but the actor refused. The company then abruptly terminated the film project that was to be shot in Germany.

John Cusack is reclaiming the sum of $5.6 million in damages, which includes the negotiated fee.

The company has made no comment since the lawsuit.
