Last year, Usher surprised the world when he announced that his mother, Jonetta Patton, would no longer be his manager. He then hired Benny Medina, the same manager for Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.
The R&B singer isn’t having much success with his latest album, Here I Stand, and desperately wants to find his way back to the top of the charts. A source told the Daily News, "People have been telling Usher to listen to his mother. Nobody knows how to sell him better than she does."
Usher is now thinking that his career was stronger under the direction of his mother.
As for Ms. Patton, she has been busy looking after the career of her other son, Jack. Rumours are circulating that she won’t be rushing back to Usher’s side.
