According to a report by Billboard.com, ZZ Top has just sealed a deal with producer Rick Rubin’s label, American Recordings, a subsidiary of Columbia Records.
The band plans to record a new album under the supervision of Rubin, and are planning to return to their roots, revealed the band’s manager, Carl Stubner.
ZZ Top’s last album, 2003’s Mercalaro, sold 103 000 copies in the United States. The band hopes to give new life to their career with Rubin’s help.
