According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sarah Jessica Parker is in talks with Warner Bros. to star in the film The Ivy Chronicles.
Based on a book by Karen Quinn, the film follows the life of Ivy Ames, an Upper East Side New Yorker who loses her high-powered job and gets divorced. She then moves into a more modest apartment and has to take her kids out of their private school. Soon she starts a business helping upper-middle-class women get their children into elite kindergartens.
Jerry Weintraub (Ocean’s Eleven) will produce the project, which is expected to hit theatres in 2010.
