FemaleFirst reported that singer Joel Madden was forced to set the record straight through a blog addressed to his family, friends and fans, after rumours were thrown around implying that he and his gal, Nicole Richie, were secretly married.
The star said it was stupid that he had to respond to the rumours, but he felt that he had to explain the situation.
On his blog, he wrote, "I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding. I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one."
Rumours of a wedding brewed after an announcement was made in Us Magazine that the couple was planning a $2 million wedding.
