According to Variety, George Clooney may be making the film The Tourist, an adaptation of the novel by Olen Steinhauer. Warner Bros. has asked Anthony Peckam (Don’t Say a Word) to write the project’s screenplay.
Clooney’s colleagues, Grant Heslov and Nina Wolarsky, from his production company, Smokehouse, will also be on board.
The Tourist is a contemporary thriller which follows the story of a spy who makes the ultimate risk of exposing himself when he is accused of a murder he didn’t commit.
In the meantime, we can next see George Clooney in the Coen brothers film, Burn After Reading, along with Brad Pitt. The film hits theatres on September 12.
