The Police To Perform Final Show

The Police will perform their last show on August 7 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The final performance by The Police in August will mark the end of the band’s successful reunion tour.

Tickets for the show will only be sold to those who donate to New York public television stations, reports Billboard.com.  Fans can purchase their tickets beginning on June 14.

On that day, the television stations will air retrospective features of The Police, such as interviews and scenes from their concerts.  Tickets will be given to people making donations starting in the amount of $150.  Luxury packages will also be available from $2 000 to $5 000. Fan club members may purchase their tickets in advance, starting today (June 9).

The concert’s opening act will be the B-52s.  There are rumours that the concert will be aired on television, although there has been no confirmation.
