Keira Knightley To Make My Fair Lady

Keira Knightley may be starring in the new film adaptation of My Fair Lady.

Variety reports that Knightley is currently in talks to play Eliza Doolittle in the remake of My Fair Lady.

Columbia Pictures plans to remake the musical comedy, which originally starred Audrey Hepburn.  The project will be produced by Duncan Kenworthy (Love, Actually, Notting Hill) and Cameron Mackintosh, who produced a number of musical comedies, including Cats and Les Misérables.

My Fair Lady follows the story of a young woman who transforms herself into a proper lady with the help of her professor, Henry Higgins.

Producers hope to film the movie in the story’s original setting, the United Kingdom, unlike previous versions that were shot in a studio.

We can next see Keira Knightley in the biographic drama, The Edge of Love, on June 20.
