According to The Hollywood Reporter, German actress Diane Kruger (National Treasure) has accepted the lead female role in the drama Run for Her Life. Kruger will star opposite Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding).
Kruger and Mulroney will play the parents of a dying young girl in Mexico. They try to get a lung transplant for their daughter, but after agreeing to the surgery, they learn that the organ was not obtained through a voluntary donor. The two are then faced with an ethical dilemma.
The film will be directed by Baltasar Kormakur (A Little Trip to Heaven) and filming will take place in New Mexico.
