Aerosmith member, Steven Tyler, has revealed that his time spent in a rehab centre earlier this month was needed to recover from a foot surgery, reports People.
Tyler explained that he injured his foot while performing on stage. Doctors recommended surgery to repair the damage from which Tyler had been suffering for a while.
Tyler said, "The ‘foot repair’ pain was intense, greater than I’d anticipated. The months of rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet. Make no mistake, Aerosmith has no plans to stop rocking. There’s a new album to record, then another tour."
With his statement, the 60-year-old rocker denied rumours that he was in the centre to be treated for his dependence problems.
