According to People, Rainn Wilson, who plays funny man Dwight Schrute in the series The Office, has accepted a role in the film Transformers 2.
Wilson will be playing a college professor, or, as he comically described, "A professor that turns into a car that turns into a robot."
Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel will return to their respective roles in the second edition, which Michael Bay will direct again.
Filming begins this summer, and the release is expected for June 26, 2009.
Rainn Wilson stars in The Rocker, which hits theatres on August 1 this year. He will also be the voice behind Gallaxhar in the animated film Monsters vs. Aliens, expected to be released in March 2009.
