According to a report by E!Online, the character Spelling played in the original series, Donna Martin, will return for the new show.
The show’s producers promised Spelling that she would make an appearance on the first episode of the new series, which has not yet been taped.
Spelling is the daughter of the late Aaron Spelling, who was the producer of the original series. Last week, the actress announced her interest in taking part in the new show. It was also announced last week that Jennie Garth would return to her role as Kelly Taylor.
"It was always my dad’s dream and intention to make a new 90210 before he passed, so I know he is proud and he would be even more proud if I were a part of it," said Spelling.
