Harrison Ford Makes Archaeology Popular

Harrison Ford has become the director of the Archaeological Institute of America, thanks to playing Indiana Jones.

The actor, who plays the archaeologist Indiana Jones in the epic Indiana Jones adventure films, has been invited to join the Boston-based organisation, because his role has contributed to archaeologist awareness.

The institution’s president, Brian Rose, thanked Ford for his major contribution to making archaeology more popular. However, no explanation was given concerning Ford as the institute’s director.

The 65-year-old actor reprises his role in the new film Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, the fourth of the series, which opens in theatres next week.
