Metallica will be launching the first album in five years in September. In preparation for this launch, the band decided to create the site Mission: Metallica in order to give their fans teasers of their new songs.
A preview video is presented showing a behind-the-scenes look at the band while they recorded this album. Fans that register for free on this site will be admissible to win VIP concert tickets this summer.
Mission: Metallica is also offering platinum access which will allow fans to get a copy of the album on its release date, as well as other privileges. The cost for the platinum level has not been announced.
Metallica will be touring this summer. They kick off their concert series at Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on May 14.
