According to People, Bollea was sentenced to do jail time in a Florida prison on Friday (May 9), due to a reckless driving charge stemming from a car accident on August 26, 2007, which left his best friend, John Graziano, in critical condition. Hulk Hogan’s 17-year-old son pleaded no contest to the charges.
In court, he stated, "I would like to apologize to the Grazianos and to my family for the accident. Every single day I think about the accident and about John."
Bollea then turned to his family and expressed, "I will never ever be able to say I’m sorry enough."
The judge advised Bollea to use his community service hours to do something positive "that reflects what John did in his service to our country as a Marine."
