Simmons responded to his wife, model Kimora Lee’s, petition for divorce, reported People.
Simmons is requesting joint custody of their daughters Ming, 8, and Aoki, 5.
In the papers filled out in March, Lee, 33, accepted that Simmons, 50, would have reasonable visitation rights, but he would have to be accompanied by a security agent or a nanny at all times.
Both parties are asking the court to deny spousal support for the other.
At the time of their separation in 2006, Simmons stated, "Kimora and I will remain committed parents and caring friends with great love and admiration for each other."
The couple married in 1998. Kimora Lee is now dating actor Djimon Hounsou.
