Britney Spears’ problems have cost the singer $61 million. According to FemaleFirst, the star’s father, Jamie, discovered the losses when he began investigating his daughter’s bank accounts.
A source close to the family said that the star spent staggering amounts of money in 2007.
The singer, who lost custody of her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 20 months, has also spent a lot of money on legal fees and psychiatric care.
An independent accountant estimated that Britney Spears lost nearly $50 million by not doing any promotion for her last album, Blackout.
The singer hopes to be able to spend time with her sons for Mother’s Day.
