Nicole Kidman, who is the mother of two children and currently expecting her third with husband Keith Urban, hopes that she can help stop violence against women around the world, reports People.
At a New York press conference on Tuesday (April 22), the actress stated, "Obviously, I’m emotionally connected to this. I’m a mother. I have a child on the way. A lot of it is realizing the things that are wrong and [pondering] how can I contribute to help my children have a better life?"
During the press conference, the star added that it is imperative that violence against women comes to an end. She calls it the most widespread human rights violation of our time.
Nicole Kidman has been working with the United Nations since 2006.
