Unilever is responding to accusations made by Greenpeace, and is defending the use of palm oil in Dove products.
The environmentalist organisation is saying that the use of palm oil contributes to the deforestation of Indonesia’s rainforest.
According to a Greenpeace report published on April 21, deforestation is becoming more and more widespread and is illegal.
The report also coincides with the debut of their Dove campaign– stop destroying forests for palm oil released on the Greenpeace Website.
The company Unilever claims that they are doing everything according to standards.
