Billboard.com reported that the group Velvet Revolver is creating a website to hold auditions to fill the lead singer spot. Weiland left the band on April 1. The group’s guitarist, Slash, who used to play for Guns n’ Roses, said that this will be starting in about one month.
For the moment, Slash has not found anyone to fill the spot. "We’re at that point of just listening to different things… it’s one of those kind of situations where you can’t really explain it to anybody because you’ll know it when you hear it. So I’m waiting to get that feeling of, ‘Yeah that’s it.’ "
Weiland is now touring with his former band, Stone Temple Pilots.
