Gérard Depardieu was found guilty of assaulting photographer Dario Orlandi.
The legendary French actor will have to pay $1 275 U.S. to compensate for the assault and battery on the photographer.
Dario Orlandi explained to the court how the actor had hit him on the head when he saw him taking pictures of him in Florence, Italy in 2005.
After the assault, the photographer was unable to work for four days due to his injuries.
