Joy Division Inspires Colours for Zune

Joy Division fans can get their hands on a Zune design inspired by the British group.

Zune, the media player by Microsoft, which is carving its place beside the enviable iPod by Apple, will soon be coming out in limited edition models sporting dark colours inspired by the mythic album Unknown Pleasures by Joy Division.

The album cover is a work by English designer Peter Saville, who designed extensively for the label Factory Records in the 1980s.

The special edition will coincide with the film documentary Joy Division by cinematographer Grant Gee which will be in theatres on June 10.

Fans of Joy Division will be delighted this summer when the film Control, directed by photographer Anton Corbijn, comes out on DVD the week before, June 3. The film depicts the life of Ian Curtis, the lead singer who died in 1980.
