Robert DeNiro Doing a Remake

Robert De Niro will be part of the cast in the remake Everybody’s Fine, opposite Kate Beckinsale and Drew Barrymore.

Miramax Studios bought the rights to the movie Stanno Tutti Bene (Everybody’s Fine) by Giuseppe Tornatore, which came out in 1991, starring Marcello Mastroianni.

In the remake, Robert De Niro will be playing a widower left with many children.  De Niro’s character decides to rebuild the relationships with his children.  Barrymore, Beckinsale and Sam Rockwell will be joining the cast.

The movie will be directed by Kirk Jones (Nanny McPhee), and will begin shooting this month in Connecticut.

In the meantime, the cast is busy doing other projects.  Barrymore will be starring in Grey Gardens and He’s Not That Into You, Beckinsale will be playing in Nothing But the Truth and Winged Creatures, Rockwell will be in Frost/Nixon, and De Niro can be seen in What Just Happened?
