Jennifer Aniston and her partner, Kristin Hahn, have founded the production company Echo Films. The two have already acquired a series of projects, many of which feature Aniston, reports Variety.
Aniston is the producer and star of The Goree Girls, an adaptation of an article written by Skip Hollandsworth for Texas Monthly. The film is about a woman who is condemned for starting one of America’s first female bands. John Lee Hancock rewrote the screen play first written by Margaret Nagle’s.
Echo Films will also produce film adaptations from the successful British novels, Getting Rid of Matthew by Jane Fallon and The Divorce Party by Laura Dave.
"We’re drawn to stories about people finding their voice and finding their way because they help us as listeners and viewers do what we feel we’re all trying to do, which is making sense of our lives through the stories of others," stated Aniston.
