Reese Witherspoon paid a visit to a school for disadvantaged children in New Orleans for the TV special Idol Gives Back, reports UsMagazine.com.
Premiering on April 9th, the program will be show Witherspoon, 32, at the school which teaches children with behaviour problems how to be leaders in their communities.
Reese told ABC News, "Once you have children in your life, you can no longer close your eyes to people… who are in a similar situation."
Brad Pitt, Miley Cyrus, Robin Williams and Mariah Carey will also take part in Idol Gives Back.
Last year, the show raised over $75 million to contribute to the fight against poverty.
