The news agency Reuters indicated that the 39-year-old singer cancelled two concerts in Australia due to a throat infection.
"Her doctor has instructed her to rest for an additional 48 hours in order to be fully recovered," says the star’s spokesperson.
The shows scheduled in Melbourne and Brisbane have already been postponed because of Dion’s illness. Concerts planned for Sydney and Perth are now postponed as well.
The winner of several Grammy awards, who had just ended her show A New Day in Las Vegas, has not travelled to Australia for 10 years.
