The British singer, well-known for his pranks and his addiction to heroin, reportedly joined the Church of Scientology, according to The Sun. "He has become obsessed with Scientology," The Sun quotes.
Doherty’s conversion was influenced by Nadine Ruddy. “Nadine is really into Scientology. She takes her beliefs very seriously. Pete’s chatted a lot with her about it. He went out and bought some books to read up about it. He just wanted to find out more about Nadine and what she believes in,” a source tells The Sun.
Among other practising Scientologists are Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
