The young designer, Giles Deacon, who works for companies such as New Look, was recruited by the Fay division of the Italian brand Tod’s to collaborate on the 2008/2009 fall/winter collection, reported FashionMag.
According to the management at Fay, this luxurious collection will be created with the same essence as other lines such as Bottega Veneta and Gucci, also created by Deacon.
According to Andrea Della Valle at Tod’s, Giles Deacon’s experience and creativity will give a new energy to the brand.
Deacon received the honour of Best New Stylist at the British Fashion Awards in 2004 and the same title was given the year after by Elle magazine. In 2007, he was named the Best British Creator.
