Zeta-Jones will play in the romantic comedy being produced by Film Department. The untitled movie will be directed by Bart Freundlich (Catch That Kid), reported Variety.
The actress will play a single mother living in New York, who seduces her 25-year-old neighbour. The story resembles the life of Bart Freundlich. The 38-year-old director is married to actress Julianne Moore, who is 47 years of age.
Filming will begin on April 17, and the project will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival.
Zeta-Jones recently stated that she had not yet attained the summit of her sex appeal on the big screen, even if she is getting older roles because of her age.
