According to the Hollywood Reporter, Anton Yelchin is in talks to play Kyle Reese in the fourth installment of Terminator.
Yelchin will play a teen version of Reese, the man who fathered world savior John Connor in the original film. Yelchin will play Reese in adolescence, who survived the nuclear holocaust. He is friends with Marcus (Sam Worthington), played in previous films by Arnold Schwarzenegger. John Connor will be played by Christian Bale.
Screenwriter Paul Haggis (Million Dollar Baby, Crash), may collaborate on this screenplay, directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels). Filming will begin next month and the movie will be in theatres on May 22, 2009.
