The deceased actor’s uncles expressed that his father Kim is not able to handle his estate since he has a bad track record of managing finances, reported People.
Kim Ledger poorly managed the assets of their grandfather 15 years ago in Australia, and he was removed as executor of the will.
One of Kim’s brothers, Mike Ledger, stated, "It plunged into enormous debt."
The actor died in January at the age of 28, and had drawn up his will before his relationship with actress Michelle Williams and the birth of his daughter Matilda, leaving his assets to his parents and his sister.
Ledger’s uncle Mike insisted that the family had nothing to gain by pointing the finger at Kim.
"Our only vested interest is to assure that Matilda is well looked after."
