Focus Features has been signing contracts with several stars for the yet-untitled Sam Mendes film.
John Krasinski and Maya Rudolph will play a couple searching the United States for the perfect place for them to raise their family.
Cheryl Hines will also star in the project, which was written by Dave Eggers and his wife, Vendela Vida. Filming is set to begin in April in Connecticut.
John Krasinski can be seen on April 4, alongside George Clooney, in the comedy Leatherheads. He will also make his directorial debut with the film Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, an adaptation of the novel by David Foster Wallace.
