Butler inaugurated his new production company Evil Twins, which he founded with Alan Siegel. Variety reported that the duo have developed many projects together.
Butler and Siegel will start by producing the psychological suspense Law Abiding Citizen for the company The Film Department. Butler will also have a role in the movie, playing a lawyer that gets involved in a conspiracy organised by a victim of the legal system. Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair) wrote the movie, which will be filmed at the beginning of the summer.
Other projects in the works by Evil Twins include Hanging Tale, written by Danny Rubin, and Teacher Man, based on the book by Frank McCourt.
Butler, who played in the movie 300, and P.S. I Love You, can be seen in the near future opposite Katherine Heigl in the romantic comedy The Ugly Truth.
