Mick Jagger Escapes Assassination Attempt

Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger escaped an attempt on his life in 1969, claims a new documentary.

The BBC will publish the story of a former FBI agent, who claims that the Rolling Stones singer was the target of a criminal who wanted to assassinate him.

The assassination plan was hatched after a 1969 concert.  The singer and his band had hired the Hell’s Angels to protect them at a concert at California’s Altamont Speedway.  When a young fan was killed by the Hell’s Angels, the Rolling Stones did not come to the defence of their former security members.  This enraged the Hells Angels and they wanted to kill Mick Jagger, according to the former FBI agent, Mark Young.

The documentary will air on the BBC on March 11.
