Yesterday (February 26) a federal judge rejected the request made against Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, allowing him to keep the control over his daughter’s $100 million estate, reported People.
District Judge Philip Gutierrez rejected the request and reprimanded lawyer Jon Eardley, who claims to represent the singer.
"Mr. Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot," Gutierrez said in his three-page ruling. "Mr. Eardley had no authority to remove the case from state court. He is neither a party nor a defendant.‘’
The judge added that even though Eardley claims to represent Spears, the court discovered that the star had no authority to hire members of her legal team.
