The lead singer of the group Black Eyed Peas will play his first movie role. He will play the part of John Wraith, a mutant who has the power to make himself translucent.
The American singer will be directed by Gavin Hood. The cast includes Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabertooth), Taylor Kitsch (Gambit) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool).
There is speculation that Danny Huston (William Stryker) and Lynn Collins may join this movie.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine will be filmed in New Zealand, Australia and New Orleans. It will be in theatres in May 2009.
