Although the actress had good reason to attend the Oscars in 2004, when she won for her performance in Monster, it will be very different for Theron this year.
The 32-year-old actress prefers the comfort of her own home and will be watching the glamorous event in her pyjamas.
The actress was at the International Film Festival in Dublin where her partner Stuart Townsend was presenting his film, Battle in Seattle. While there, Theron explained, "We are not going. I don’t think you go to those kind of award shows unless you are nominated. I think it’s a special thing if you get a nomination, or your film does. Then you go. But we don’t have any nominations or anything like that in the house, so we sit in our jammies and watch it on the couch."
